biography
Alana Jacoby (she/they) made her Buck’s Rock stage debut during her first summer in 1998, and hasn’t left the theater since. She was a theater CIT in 2002, theater JC in 2004 and 2005, and switched focus to LSD in 2008, where they worked as a lighting design counselor until 2016 and as head of shop from 2017 to 2023. Outside of camp, she has worked as a lighting designer, lighting and sound stagehand and technician, and teaching artist. Also a playwright and musical theater writer, they wrote the book and lyrics of Trivøya Gold, Buck’s Rock’s first session musical in 2019. She is married to Sam Kusnetz (BR 1994 - present) and dog mom to Rocket (BR 2022 - present).
